Tuesday I went for a walk to find scenic wonders in the Petoskey area. My first stop was down to the breakwall. While I had missed the opportunities of Monday’s wind storm due to the responsibilities of the gallery, I wanted to venture out to the shoreline to capture some interesting moments. It was one of those days where there was not much to separate the light from the dark. To capture a more unique angle I laid in a prone position on the snow and ice and shot low just over the rocks.

Remember when working near water, even if ice is present, that you are safely prepared. Life jackets, crampons, rope, and self-rescue equipment could mean the difference between life or death.
