Scanning, Restoration, Photoshop, & Other Services:

Visit our Image and Printing Services page for our other image and print production related services such as film and photo scanning, Photoshop services, etc.

Color Calibration:

For the majority of our printing studio clients, color accuracy is not much of a concern, but if you notice colors that are different from your expectations and conclude that those differences will affect your final product, you may wish to read the rest of this section.

We are capable of printing any image, from nearly any color space. We prefer images in Adobe1998 due to its wide color capabilities. We have calibrated our system from one end to the other, for both our high quality papers and unique printer. This high level of calibration may produce unexpected results if you are preparing your images on a non-calibrated screen. We recommend the use of X-Rite, a Michigan based company, for your calibration needs. The ColorMunki is an entry level screen calibration system and will put you onto the right path.

Additionally, you are welcome to proof the work on our calibrated monitor in the Gallery before you print it.

Mounting and Matting.

Our Print Studio Clients enjoy access to our Mounting and Matting services. We use a mechanical Dry Mount Press to permanently adhere your photograph or artwork onto a foamcore board. We offer a wide selection of mat board choices, and stock popular colors. All materials are PH balanced and archival rated.

Fine Art Canvas.

Aside from paper and photo paper we also print onto Canvas. We offer a couple different selections of Canvas product suitable for a variety of uses.

Canvas Stretchers and Wrapping:

Our canvas stretchers are produced in Petoskey by our artist Joe Clark. This product is milled from a Basswood or Poplar hardwood and custom built as needed. These stretcher bars are strong and feature rounded corners to prevent cracking during the stretching process.
