A couple nights ago we had a good storm system blow through the Petoskey area. I went out in an attempt to capture some lightning and storm clouds. Unfortunately I was not able to get a good position during this campaign. I may have tried a little to hard, but oh well. When shooting storm systems you have to be in front of it, to the side, or behind it. Trying to shoot while under it is counter productive and all you will get is rain, hail, or lightning. I wound up being over run while searching for a better spot to shoot. But here is an interesting shot from between the storm cells. I was off of M-119 overlooking the airport in Harbor Springs.

Today there are some interesting clouds out, how are you shooting them? Here I used a super wide angle lens, note the distortionary effects on the horizon line.
