To continue from yesterday we have another shot of the lands which were forcefully vacated to make way for the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. The historic barns and farms were kept on the land for their historical value. Yesterday’s discussion was on the effects of forcing people from their homes to make room for the park itself. Today I would like everyone to share their opinion on the following:
Since farming had a historical impact upon the lands and area of the national park, should the lands which were already modified by humans still be farmed in a historical way? Should people be allowed to occupy these now vacant buildings and farm the land so that younger generations can witness first hand the history of which the park service is attempting to preserve?
