The inland waterway runs from Round Lake to Lake Huron, the water level is managed by several locks. This is the approach to the lock in Alanson, Michigan. The photo is a color photograph captured on a dreary winter day. The green ATON (Aide TO Navigation) is nearly the only color visible that day.
