You, the Client accept these terms and conditions when you purchase from Glass Lakes Photography, LLC via this website.
All sales are final, as we are custom creating your order for you we cannot accept a return or offer a refund once we start making your order. As we can not control variables outside of our store, damaged products can not be refunded or replaced, unless there is an apparent manufacturing defect. Metal artwork prints can be replaced for half of the current retail price if damaged. Printed Product we ship must be inspected immediately upon receipt. You have 24 hours from delivery to inform us of damage or other unsatisfactory issues. Services rendered or custom ordered components for projects may not be refundable. Items customized for any project, once customized may not be refunded. (custom frames, mats, glass, or in-stock items which have been cut or modified for your order). A 20% fee may be assessed to all refunds. Client is responsible for all shipping costs including returns. Orders of limited editions may take longer to ship. Open edition orders may be delayed due to artist’s availability. In the event that the artist is working in the field for an extended amount of time your order will be queued until when they are available to return to sign your order. Upon receipt of your order you will need to take due diligence to document the condition of the package. Photograph all 6 sides, shipping label, box certification if there is one, as well as the packaging inside the box as you unpack it. This is to protect you in the event that the carrier damaged your items. Shipping is billed at our cost. We assign an additional handling charge, which is based upon the shipping cost, to cover our time and materials in preparing your artwork for shipment. You may also ask us to drop the art off at The UPS Store for packaging and shipping. Shipping and handling prices provided in checkout are rough estimates. In the event that your shipping costs are in excess of prices listed here, we will need to contact you for additional shipping. Thank you for your understanding. A handling fee may be assessed depending on the complexity of the shipping preparation. All our items are custom sizes and there are no boxes which are easily available for us to use to ship with. We usually have to make boxes from sheets of cardboard. The base handling charge is determined as: SQRT(10*(Shipping Charge)/0.67)-5. Your handling charge may be modified higher or lower based on the options for packaging. Tubes are lower, while items with greater complexity in packaging such as multiple items per package or items with crates may be billed higher amounts. Note: Loose canvas products will require mounting or framing. Prints which are matted will be between .25 and .5 inches shorter on both dimensions as there is an overlap from the matting. Advertised dimensions refer to printed area of underlying print. Fine Art Prints are the Artist’s choice of Fine Art paper for the print. The artist will choose the best fitting media for the artwork meeting the glossy/matte request. In the event that client chooses to file a dispute to a change with their card issuer, the client shall be liable for all losses, damages, or fees incurred by Glass Lakes Photography including the charge which they filed their dispute against. Client agrees that they are liable for any and all bank charges including so called “charge backs” and dispute fees incurred by Glass Lakes Photography, llc in relation to their order. In the event that Glass Lakes Photography suffers such damages or liabilities the Client agrees to repay such damages plus 30% to Glass Lakes Photography by certified check within 7 days. Pickup orders: Client agrees to pickup any orders within 7 days of Glass Lakes Photography, LLC’s notice. We will attempt to contact client via phone number and email provided with the order, this attempt will be notated in our documentation as the start of the 7 days. We will make multiple attempts to contact you if we are unable to. After 7 days the client may incur a storage fee charge of 10% of their invoice total ($20 minimum) per week. Orders not picked up within 3 months will be considered abandoned and will be returned to inventory or destroyed at the sole discretion of Glass Lakes Photography, LLC. Client will not be entitled to a refund in the event that they abandon their order. Client is welcome to make prior arrangements with Glass Lakes Photography, LLC for the storage of their order in the event that they need extended time to pick up. Any legal claim arriving from this transaction shall be adjudicated in Emmet County, Michigan.
