These “Ice Disks” are forming in Little Traverse Bay. I noticed that they appear to be accumulating near Bay Harbor this week. These are pieces of the ice pack which forms in the Great Lakes and is then blown around by the winds to their various destinations. I found these particular pieces to the north of the pier formation walking area to the east of the inn. Using snowshoes for their ice traction ability I walked out on the structure to capture what I could. This is one of a few new images I captured there.
