I was photographing the Petoskey waterfront one night when I was working on capturing the stairs with the dark sky above. By coincidence as I started one of my exposures two teenagers started walking down the stairs, one with a headlamp on. As the first exposure ended I immediately began another, luckily the headlamp was behind one of the structural parts of the staircase when this happened. I was able to capture the complete light trail from the top to the bottom of the stairs.
